Besides completing various programs of teachings, performing ceremonies of fire pujas and bestowing initiations, both the Rinpoches also performed the consecration ceremony of the great Buddha Statue. This beautiful Shakyamuni statue is now placed in Sönam Gatsal, the landscaped garden shrine of Lotus Garden (Pema Gatsal).

During the same period, at the request of H.E. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche, Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche bestowed the most rare and precious Dzogchen transmissions of Künzang Gongpa Zangthal. More than twenty rinpoches and khenpos from around the world graced Lotus Garden with their presence. Their Eminences Khochhen Rinpoche, Ringo Tuku Rinpoche, Penam Rinpoche, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, Lama Riga, Lama Phuntsok Namgyal, Lama Kunga Gyatso and other monks and nuns of Mindrolling were also present for this most auspicious gathering as well as several hundred practitioners from around the world.

Kyabje Tsetrul Rinpoche spent a month bestowing abhishekas, transmissions, teachings and ceremonies at Lotus Garden and the western sangha of Mindrolling was blessed and delighted at this rare opportunity. Kyabje Rinpoche also travelled to New York City where he was greeted with abundant audiences and blessed many Tibetan and Bhutanese people who are now living there. We were also very happy that many of our previous monks now living and settled in the US and Canada were able to join in welcoming Kyabje Rinpoche to New York.
