His Eminence D.G. Khochhen Rinpoche, President of Mindrolling Monastery and General Secretary of the Nyingma school, traveled to Thupten Chöling monastery in Nepal to pay his respects to the kudung of Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche. Kyabje Rinpoche passed into paranirvana on September 2, 2011.
Kyabje Trulshik Chökyi Lodrö Rinpoche was one of the most beloved and senior most masters within the Mindrolling tradition. Venerated and revered within the the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, he served as the head of the Nyingma School and was the holder of numerous lineages.
Kyabje Rinpoche had extremely close ties with Mindrolling throughout his life. Among his numerous acts of immense kindness, in 2007, Kyabje Rinpoche travelled to Mindrolling India from Nepal and bestowed the entire Mindrolling lineage empowerments and transmissions to the sangha of Mindrolling, ensuring the preservation and transmission of these precious teachings to the next generation.
In the sad days following the passing of Kyabje Rinpoche, and as the 49th day approaches, Mindrolling Monastery, Samten Tse Retreat Centre and Lotus Garden (USA), along with the worldwide Mindrolling sangha, continue to make prayers and offerings to Kyabje Rinpoche.
