The 2014 Nyingma Mönlam Chenmo (Prayer for World Peace) was held from the 31st of January through the 9th of February 2014 at the Mahabodhi Stupa in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the Ngagyur Nyingma Mönlam Chenmo held in the sacred site of Bodhgaya. The great prayer ceremony is held every year from the 1st until the 10th lunar day of the 12th Tibetan Lunar month.
This year the Mindrolling Monastery was the main organizer of this great gathering of hundreds of rinpoches, tulkus, khenpos and thousands of monks and nuns of the various Nyingma lineages. Celebrating its silver jubilee year, the Mönlam was marked by the presence of Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche who bestowed the long life empowerment and blessings to the tens of thousands of gathered monks, nuns and lay people. His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa and the chief minister of Bihar, the Hon. Nitish Kumar, also graced the Mönlam with their attendance. May the gathered merits of such a marvelous gathering bring great happiness and peace throughout the ten directions.
